Scholarship selection and school partnership
On the morning of 11 October, Singapore Global International held an online meeting with Wuxi Foreign Language School to discuss scholarship student selection and school-to-school cooperation, reaching an initial agreement efficiently. Party Secretary Dr Xie Xiaonan, Chief Inspector Chen Jianghui and Vice-Principal Wu Chenchao of Wuxi Foreign Language School attended.

In terms of structure, Singapore Global International acts as the recommending party, partnering with St Francis Methodist School (SFMS), and handles the project coordination and operations. This meeting focused on scholarship selection arrangements and the cooperation that follows.
About Wuxi Foreign Language School
Founded in 1998 in Wuxi, Jiangsu province, Wuxi Foreign Language School has grown into a 12-year, foreign-language-focused school with kindergarten, primary, junior and senior high sections. With years of experience in language teaching and international education, it is designated as the school for children of foreign nationals, Hong Kong, Macao and Taiwan residents and returning entrepreneurs in Wuxi, and has invested steadily in its international curriculum centre, bilingual teaching and overseas progression pathways.

About St Francis Methodist School, Singapore
St Francis Methodist School was founded in 1960 as an all-girls school at St Francis Road with just 27 students, later taken over by The Methodist Church in Singapore, becoming co-educational and moving to its current campus at 492 Upper Bukit Timah Road. It offers primary, secondary and pre-university education to local and international families, with qualifications including Cambridge Primary, IGCSE and International A-Level, emphasising both academics and character.

Initial agreement: four areas of cooperation
- November campus visit: a Wuxi Foreign Language School delegation will visit Singapore campuses and teaching settings to move details forward in person.
- Wuxi scholarship test centre: scholarship selection and testing will be set up in Wuxi so students need not travel far to take part.
- Academic exchange: exchanges and visits on curriculum design, teaching methods and assessment, plus exploration of student exchange activities.
- Teacher training: teacher-focused training and joint research to familiarise both sides with each other's teaching requirements and progression standards.
The meeting was efficient: an initial framework was agreed, and Singapore Global International will advance the arrangements month by month — from the November Singapore campus visit to the launch of the Wuxi scholarship test centre.
