A deeper look at Singapore’s education: reading the system through Princess Sirindhorn’s study visit
A 40-minute film reads the national logic behind Singapore’s education through four places Princess Sirindhorn visited — and what it can remind parents of.

What the film talks about
Today we are sharing a video: “A deeper look at Singapore’s education” (the film’s own title asks what will actually steady a child in the future), from the YouTube channel 小罗看世界 — about 40 minutes, published in August 2026.
Its starting point is unusual. On her visit to Singapore, Thailand’s Princess Sirindhorn did not tour any famous school. She visited Parliament, the armed forces training institute, the monetary authority and Fort Siloso — four stops standing for politics, defence, economy and history. It is an itinerary only an insider would read properly.
That leads to the channel’s central argument (its analysis, not an official conclusion): Singapore’s educational strength is not in producing a handful of exam prodigies but in having built a system that manufactures social trust — from rules learned in primary-school classrooms, to institutional training and responsibility, to the institutional trust carried by professionals, to the crisis-awareness written into the society’s DNA.
The takeaways it leaves for parents are ones we share: rather than asking only “how do we get into a top school”, ask “what will steady my child in the future” — a sense of rules, responsibility, the ability to keep learning, and the resilience to face uncertainty.
In our work in Singapore education and student homestay, the questions parents ask most are about admissions timing and school rankings. This film offers a more worthwhile angle: the results of an education often only become visible many years after a child leaves school.
How to watch, and copyright: the film is embedded via the official YouTube player and remains the property of the original channel. If it does not play, search for 小罗看世界 on YouTube.
