Talking with Daniel, an AI and big-data entrepreneur from Beijing: how AI and big data shape personal life
From recommendations and prices to handing repetitive work to tools: AI and big data are already inside the details of personal life — the question is how we use them, and who holds the choice over the data.

How AI and big data reach personal life
Today we met Daniel, an AI and big-data entrepreneur from Beijing, to discuss how AI and big data affect personal life.
The conversation started from everyday experience: what we search, buy, where we travel and what content we see are all shaped by big data — why recommendations “guess right”, why the same product shows different prices to different people, and why routes get smarter the more we use them. Daniel shared his observations on the field from a technical and founder’s perspective.

We also talked about time: handing repetitive searching, filing, recording and translation to AI and automation tools frees a great deal of personal time and effort. That is what we call one person, one team — a toolset that only companies could afford is now within reach of an individual.
One question keeps coming back: *where the data sits, who can see it, and whether to use it at all*. Our view is that the choice should stay with the individual; where personal and customer records are involved, it needs permission control and an audit trail — the same principle we apply to our corporate systems. The value of technology is not showing off, but whether it genuinely improves daily life.
